Dr. Alaa has expertise in managing intellectual property, technology transfer, and licensing. He has worked as a Vice President for Strategy and Innovation, Professor of Management of Technology, Associate Provost for Research, Innovation and Creativity, and Chief Knowledge Officer.
He Has also worked as a Founder and Managing Director of a management consulting firm. He has expertise in Energy Engineering and has worked as a Professor of Energy Engineering and Chair of Petroleum and Energy Engineering Department.
He has developed Intellectual property and licensing policies and developed work procedures for innovation, entrepreneurship, and competitiveness centers. He has also established a collaboration program between universities and secured funding for research projects.
